5 Smoothie Recipes to Start Your Morning Off Right!

No matter how prepared I am the night before, my mornings always seem a little rushed! Smoothies have become my go-to during the week as I can make it the night before, pop it in the fridge and run out the door with it in the morning. I am such a creature of habit and make the exact same smoothie every morning for breakfast but I think change is upon me!! I have enlisted some of my instgram foodie friends to share some of their favourite smoothie recipes with us today and I know that they may just get me a tad more excited to rise and shine!

1. @megscucina AKA Megan Gardner

"Smoothies have been my go to breakfast for the past four or five months now - I think I could blend this combo in my sleep!

Berry Beauty Smoothie

@megscucina

@megscucina

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 heaping scoop of almond butter
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 tbs coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup frozen berries (whatever your preference - I usually go for what’s on sale!)
  • Pinch of cinnamon and 1 scoop vanilla protein

**You can add more almond milk or water if you want to make it less thick. I usually do this if I’m on the go and want to drink it with a straw. BUT on the weekends I use this combo as a base for yummy smoothie bowls so a thicker consistency is better."
